And another example: So you and some guildies go to a hunting area. You get there, some other folks are there, you kill them. Then what? Well, now you're "red" and you and your guildies have to kill each other over and over until you're not "red" any more.
Lineage 2 had the single most retarded fucking PvP system in the history of PvP games. There's no way NC-Soft would be stupid enough to include that in a game like Aion, which they hope to get more than 5,000 NA subscribers with. |

It didn't take shit for time to get anywhere in L2 if you had a fucking brain and a guild. Sure if you were a solo / small group player life sucked, but those with a guild who knew what they were doing easily prospered without buying adena.
Hell, I blew four Soul Bows on Lionna in a day trying to break +10 on just one and never hit +7. Did get to +15 on a BoP+QR though for my HE, and had a wicked set of +9 Kesh*Dama duals for my BD box.
L2 was all about guild play, not small group or solo. It became horribly evident when you got past level 52 and needed to either be fully buffed (SE/BD/SWS/PP) or sporting some serious enchanted B-grade. Hell, I had a +15 Emi for a few days and the +4 BoP I got far outclassed it's damage with less p.atk thanks to B-grade bonus.
Oh yeah, and part of the thing about being red.. is it takes a fool to not BSoE, or Party Escape soon as it happens and de-karma in private. Or just dominate an area long enough to de-karma via grinding...
