This is true and it's entirely due to the disc drives at this point. My X360 runs fairly silent at the dashboard with no disc spinning up. However, when any disc spins up it's like a fucking jet engine. The X360s house some of the loudest disc drives that I have ever encountered and it's downright obnoxious.
