well, the first thing that comes to mind for a computer help/tech-ey forum would be that people would be more inclined to post (less afraid of being flamed FOR posting) individual questions or issues. People could put forth very specific questions or ask opinions on very specific subjects that may only apply to them without fear of being chased off over it.

Of course if all the tech questions left general...it'd be a political forum
