This is exactly it. The AFK problem is symptomatic of a greater problem; the complete stagnation of BGs. Combine that with three full sets of honor-bought pvp gear (and now arena 1 sets too!) and you have a MASSIVE quantity of honor to spend, with a similarly massive time investment in extremely old content. It is the exact equivalent of having every single dungeon in TBC be Molten Core. If you had been raiding Molten Core for years, you'd be afk too.
