Ebay scammers/price pushers

Okay so I've come across a few extra Wiis that I'm going to sell this season to make an extra buck. I've been checking Ebay and they are going pretty high, but I am noticing a trend on almost every ending auction. There are 15-30 bids and 90% of them are Ebay members with less than 30 feedback, a lot of the times 0 feedback, and names like this:

2***a
3***c
l***2
m***s

Are these Ebay scammers trying to inflate the price of the Wii more gradually as the season approaches? Anyone have experience with this? What's going on? The x***x names never win the auction though, a normal name with low feedback, sometimes, often times, 0 feedback wins it.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, for curiosity's sake.
