Originally it was a 100% mana pool drain for roughly equivalent unresistable damage. So 5 decently geared wizards back in Luclin era could drop any 32k mob. There was even more creative farmers that would do Veeshan's Peak with 8 (5 wizards, 1 bard, 1 cleric, 1 rogue) and clear out all the bosses in a day. Was the only other green dragon scale source besides Sev in EJ, and had some goodies like Rend Robe.

Then as LadyVex says, it got a 1minute delay timer, then later 75% cap, and finally the AAs got revamped to a 4:1 damage:ratio for 3000/6000/9000/12000 damage at -300 resist instead of unresistable.
