Visual Basic Coders here?

Anyone here a vb6/.net coder? Need a little help.

I'm coding an app to assist me doing something at work; basically i'm opening an excel spreadsheet, reading a certain cell that contains multiple pipe delineated data

i.e./

blablah | 381813 | this is data 3 | etc etc | 0sdjaj

And I want to separate this data then place it into an array. Anyone can help with this? The problem is separating the data and writing it into an array btw, the excel stuff is cake.

I guess it's done using something like inStr + left etc, but sadly this is the kind of stuff that i've never really done (handling data in strings) as pathetic as that may sound.

Cheers. I'd post some example of data/code that i've already written for the project, but i'm not at work and have decided I really want to write this software.

Ta guys. If anything's unclear (which is likely with the way I write) let me know
