guardian is like the paladin archetype. Sword/shield, heals, very hard to kill. I have ~75% mitigation plus my armor increases per mob within my aura. When I start a second character, I know I'll be pissed by the fact that I am actually killable.
blademaster is more like WoW dps warrior / berserker archetype. I haven't seen many of them and I'm not certain if the need to be in melee range but being without the survivability of the guardian is much of a problem. Their DPS is pretty amazing though.
