'WoW-ifying' can only help. Fun and easy newbie game (basically WoW solo 1-69), yet still have the extreme time-sink and skill-required content for those that wish to partake (raiding Black Temple and 2k+ Arena PVP ranks).
They should get rid of level requirements and BOE gear though. Twinking in like in old-school EQ where almost nothing was no-drop except the highest end raid gear really added a ton of replayability.
