| I would think SoE's two options are just shut down VG permanetly and do something else with the what's left of the staff. Or shut it down for a period and revamp it and relaunch it.
A relaunch without some signifiant actual shut down time wouldn't help. People need to think they actually reworked it from the inside out and not just made minor incremental changes to come back. Honestly I couldn't understand why anyone was still playing a month after launch - but there was - so that proves that at least some minor percentage of people will play anything. Hearing the game has improved from those people wouldn't really sway me.
Stringing VG along for a year more with a patch every 3 months I don't see what this accomplishes unless it's a contractual obligation of some sort before they kill it. |
