Yeah I support this too.

My old group of friends no longer plays and some of my new buddies play on a PvP server, id like to do arena with em but my 70 is on a PvE server and I have no desire to level a new dude to 70, easy as it may be.

If they allowed PvE -> PvP id re-subscribe.
