On the point of graphics, if you have a decent card (e.g. 8800) try running on x4 anti-aliasing, wow it looks much better!

Save it, then set the AA for EQ2 using the Nvidia control panel, but it doesn't seem to support anything above x4 - it just seems to default to 'no AA' if you try it. |
What I suggest is to try without AA (just the AF is ok) and instead turn on character, environmental and off-screen shadows (no torch shadows).
The overall effect is a lot better imo, even if the graphic quality is lower. Shadows add so much to this game it's unbelievable. They should really work on making them run through the GPU instead of the CPU, if that's the problem.
