| This past episode was intriguing to say the least. I find the fact that Serena and Blair have reconciled their differences so hastily to be somewhat disconcerting. Where are they going to take the storyline now? They took the most major plot line of the first two episodes, one which they made to seem so incredibly important, and alleviated it with a few hugs, tears, and apologies. I don't understand.
Is Chuck Bass going to step to the plate now as the major bad guy? Will he take his game to another level? I honestly hope they start focusing on him as the major asshole in this series. He needs to rise above Blair. Though that could be difficult, as she actually went out of her way to make public the incorrect allegation that was Serena's drug habit, in front of a group of Ivy Leaguers nonetheless.
And then there is Jenny and Dan. I got the feeling from the previous episode that we were going to see Jenny take a bite from the forbidden fruit and join the likes of Blair and her cohorts. But instead she now seems to have set her eyes on Serena's odd brother. I had pretty much penned him as gay up until the point where he seemed to be flirting with Jenny. That whole scenario was just too weird for me. They seem to be playing off his suicide attempt as a mere case of the flu. We'll see where that goes.
I'd comment on Dan, but he's just so incredibly boring that I'm going to choose not to. Everytime he comes on sceen, I cringe.
All that said, I can't wait for next week. |
