| If you have no desire for the EQ/EQ2 loot cards collecting a good set of cards is trivial.
I started out with a starter deck and 11 boosters. In that 11 boosters I got a snow leopard mount that I traded for 50 boosters. In that 50 boosters I got another snow leopard mount and traded it for 50 boosters.
You get a loot card about 1 in 10 decks. Some of those are the crappy ones like weapon graphic changes, potions etc...
In total from my 11 decks (165 cards) I keep trading away my loot cards for unopened boosters and ended the night (about 2 hours) with approximately 3,200 cards - 230 rares and 650 uncommons.
I like the idea of the game tie in - but I think in the long run it will hurt those that actually play the game. Of course most won't care because they get the loot, and SOE gets the money for those packs.
Just a quick glance in the bazaar the last 2 days booster packs have been going for between 300,000 and 1million PP. Of course they probably aren't selling but that's what they have them listed at. I do play on the same server as the person above (FV) who said someone auctioned one for 50k and I saw that 2 days ago. |
