As a Sabres fan, I'm here to tell you that you are 100% correct. Vanek is damned good but it's way too early in his career for someone to be tossing him 7m+ a year. Personally, I'm interested to see how he'll do this year without Briere and Drury. Well, him and the entire Sabres team, but him moreso because with that amount of money, he better be a fucking stud.
