I completly agree. WotC is run by morons (yes I know that Hasbro owns the WotC sub -- but I am 80% sure that a decision like making MTGO pay-for-pack instead of sub was made by the management of WotC not Alan Hassenfeld).
A subscription model for MTGO would probably have earned WotC much, much more than the p4p model.
