| I am positive MTGO is a huge financial success but I think it could have been something truely amazing if they would have went with a subscription system with additional small fees for tournament participation and limited formats.
I can understand why they mirrored the price of physical cards but when I look at the WoW model of massive inclusion I see wasted potential. I can think of dozens of people right now that used to play MTG but stopped who would pay 14.99 a month every month without fail. If they redid the old old old MtG computer game I'd go to Wal-Mart right now and buy it.
I got back into it for a summer pretty solidly when Ravnica was brand new and it was still essentially everything I wanted it to be. The problem now is that I just cannot justify the resources and time commitments versus the amount of enjoyment I can obtain elsewhere.
