| I'll agree on Messi. There's a good chance he ends up being the greatest player I've ever seen. His defense needs work, but SO young for a star of his caliber.

26 appearances and 14 goals in 06/07 and 5 in 5 so far this year. Last year was really his coming out party as a scorer (he's always been an excellent passer and setup man). Barcelona, much like Arsenal, do a tremendous job of acquiring and developing young talent.
Also, not watching a TON of Spanish football, what are the main differences from the English game (which I follow near religiously). I know the Italian game is much slower, but I'm not too familiar with the overall style and pace of the Spanish game. I assume it's more like the English game than the Italian game but I could be wrong. Anyone care to educate me?
