| If you dont mind the monthly fee WoW is a good game for what you want to accomplish imo. Solo/Duo play is very viable if you look at the qesting game, nothing has changed there from the launch and its even more viable in the expansion in terms of rewards for the effort.
Most important I would think would be to chose race and classes you and the missus find appealing but try and chose one with a fun starting ground. Bloodelves have a pretty decent starting area imo.
