| I landed at St. Maarten's when I was getting my ASA 50+ blue water cert and my diving certs on a month long vacation.
It really isn't any different or scary than landing at any other airport. In fact, it's a lot easier than most because you just come straight in. Fuck, navigating Miami international was far more stressful than landing at St. Maartens, that airport fucking sucks. But yeah it definitely is real.
But having seen jet engines knock a car flying both on Top Gear and in real life incident videos I wouldn't stand on that beach during a landing. |
