To land you deploy flaps which provides lift but also slows the plane. To keep it flying you add throttle. A plane like a 747 would drop like a rock (in excess of 1500 feet a minute) with full flaps and zero throttle.
While your in the pattern listen to the engines and you can hear them come up every time they lower the flaps further. |
Listen I've flown a lot of planes in my time and even a gyrocopter on video games and what you do to land is hit the brakes and land in the center of the runway it's fucking cake, man.
