| I'm pretty sure you can get banned for guild chat, I've known people who have gotten suspensions for it. Someone in the guild has to report the offending person though, so it rarely happens (backstabbing guildies ftw).
My guess is that Blizzard has turned it over to FBI/etc and is mum on the whole thing until the investigation is over.
The whole thing is pretty fucked up, but in some ways its probably better for society. 20 years ago pedos would join the priesthood or do the perving with relatives. Now with the internet they go online and think they are all anonymous. Meanwhile every single character they type gets logged, they get videotaped and traced, and hopefully all of them get max time in jail. Kids are a lot smarter about this shit nowadays too I would hope. |
