My buddy tonight told me they are going to banks in Europe now. Bodog is for sure legit, as all the advertising and such. Betus even has Jesse Ventura advertising for them. The whole offshore betting thing that happened last year I think is over. One of the places I was using was affected and shutdown, betonsports.com. Go check that website, it still has that legal jumbo on it.

Anyways its far to much information to just post on how to bet on sports. Basically, if talking about the NFL here are the 3 lines for a game:

1. Total Points: You can bet over or under the total points posted for a game.

2. Money Line: Basically you bet if the team wins or loses. Stolen from gamblerspalace.com

Quote:
Odds for a game based on $1.00. A "minus" (-) preceding the number indicates the team is a favorite. A "plus" (+) preceding the number indicates the team is an underdog.

Bet the Team Total Money Line
101 Jets 40 +160
102 Patriots -6 -180

The Patriots odds are -180, meaning an $18 bet would win $10, for a return of $28. The Jets' odds are +160, meaning a $10 bet would win $16, for a return of $26.
3. Spread: The team either has to win by more than the line or can loose by more than the line. For example: The Eagles are -3 against the Packers. To win this bet you bet that the Eagles win by 4 or more points, or the Packers can lose by 4 or more points. If either of those scenarios land at 3 points then this bet is a push and you get your money back.

Then there is the type of bet and there are a lot of them. I only do and know mostly about the following.

1. Straight: 1 bet on 1 line of a game.

2. Parlay: Depending on the site: Up to 15 different lines on any games. 15 on betus is fucking insane and just dumb. The max is ussually around 8, but the smart people usually do 4. Minimum of 2 lines for this bet for the most part. The higher number of bets in a parlay the more money you win obviously. I won 3500 off an 8 team parlay for only 20 bucks in TJ.

Also on a Parlay if one of the bets in your parlay pushes then you can still win the whole parlay if the rest of the bets win, the outcome money is deducted from the push that however.

3. Teaser: You gain 6 to 8 points on the points spread with a minimum of 2 lines and not sure of the max amount. So if the Eagles were -3 then this would make them +2 if on a 6 point teaser. Also meaning that if the Eagles lose by 1 then you win this bet. This is a good way to gain money in the long run if betting small amounts of cash as the payout is not that good. Pushes in this bet apply just like a parlay.

That should get you going. When i first started I made a bunch of small amount parlay bets.

There are also the special bets where you can bet on who wins the coin toss, who gets the most points in the first quarter etc etc etc... I don't fuck with this cause none of it is parlayable and its just completely dumb luck in my eyes.
