Not to mention that even if this was true and the 'engineers' were playing a movie on a Blue-Ray enabled player, it would cost >$400 to produce and defeat the only real selling point the Wii has. Blue-ray players aren't exactly cheap yet.

Nintendo is going to be re-releasing hardware as it is for a DVD-player-Wii.
