| Why is it that all these conspiracy theories are always so elaborate and convoluted? The government is engaging in a huge cover-up which involves several hundred if not thousand people in order to accomplish some inane goal which could have been accomplished without the elaborate ploy just as well. The "government" cant even keep leaks regarding simple CIA operations in check - how the hell do you propose they kept an operation of such monumental scope quiet for so long? Also, no one would have given a shit about invading Afghanistan either way and to link the Iraq invasion to 9/11 is silly.
