| Stage 8 was pretty wretched for the Aussies... Rogers crashing out from an excellent position, Stuart O'Grady crashing and having to get carted off in an Ambulance, Robby McQwen not making the elimination time... at least Cadel Evans managed to hang on in the final climb and stay in contention.
Rasmussen is a climbing freak, I love watching mountain stages with him as he will always be in there mixing it up. He's a crap time-trialer but there's every chance he could pull out another couple big wins on the mountain stages and overcome his TT deficit.
Stage 9 tonight should be good... last moutnain stage of the alps, two NC climbs and the riders comming off a rest day should be fresh and looking to attack. |
