| I think its reasonable to say that things aren't going to go backwards, just like people don't go back on other things in society or technology. The days of anything but minor death penalties are completely, stick a fork in 'em dead, for example. It's not coming back, because its a one-way street.
Could a "hard core" game exist? Yes, however, in a world of multi-million account MMO's it won't *matter* to the MMO scene.
Insofar as mattering to the market, that ship has sailed. |
