This is exactly the answer why he does. It is really brilliant. He is selling a product to an audience that almost completly lacks the ability to be criticising something constructivly and that has good access to mommies or daddies purse.
People spend way more money for their children and their leisure activities then for themselves. On top of that parents these days tend to try to "keep their kids busy" so they don't annoy their parents and computergames are brilliant for that. (not that its a good idea to do so , but it is sadly common practise)
