This is practically a sure success for SOE from a business standpoint. MMORPG's are not where the money is at, comparatively speaking. The money is in virtual spaces, with low ease of entry and tiered pricing. The money is in these 'games' that most of us have no interest in. Browser based, geared towards children or teenagers, social environments that present a fun place for kids to talk to each other and to create/customize their worlds and share with friends.

Bottom line. Its a smart move for SOE - and I'd guess it will be far more successful than any MMO they've put out yet. I don't think that's a bad thing either...I think its something SOE would be foolish not to put some resources towards when its clearly where a lot of revenue lies.
