Surprisingly, when we were playing on FV a couple of months ago, I logged onto a couple of servers to see if anyone I knew was still playing.

I did some /who all level ranges, and there's still tons of people leveling characters. No, not as many as there used to be for sure, but the major hotzones and other good leveling places still have a good number of people leveling characters.

As for leveling up to do cutting edge content, I dunno how you'd fare with that. There are still many guilds doing stuff like Anguish, that'd probably be your best bet to start out.

Also, AA's are way easier to get now. I mean way easier.
