| I think Launch titles help as well. Xbox had a really strong launch title: Halo. 360..not so much.
Wii Sports is an extremely powerful launch title. Which is funny given that you compare it to something like Halo, development costs and such, and it's a completely different ballpark.
Nintendo knows how to make awesome shit. I just doubt it'll be the powerhouse the PS2 was, at least in the same sort of way.
I still see Nintendo was the true console people. Because how I see consoles is something you sit down and play with a couple friends. And nintendo has always been the best at that. I'd rather play SSB, mario party and their ilk with friends than anything I've ever seen on any other game console. Xbox and PS are more...computers attached to your TV. Where you don't have to do any of the work to install or stuff like that, just plug in and play. Which is why the have 'mature' titles...aka computer games.
edit: also a difference is nintendo are more multiplayer, same room games vs single player or over the internet games...which is where xbox and ps dominate. |
