| From what I understand Sigil (with SoE backing) got to buy VG from Microsoft on the super cheap. Microsoft was done with it and wrote it off as a loss, so a large percentage of development costs up to that point ended up on Microsoft's balance sheet.
I'd say the current events are all part of whatever contract Sigil and SoE entered into during that purchase. |
