The problem is that the dominix is only 10 mill more than the Myrmidon tops. I LOVE the myrmidon, not just for its utility but mostly because it looks pretty cool. But if you're looking for a disposable ship to spam in a protracted campaign or some empire heist, it's pretty hard to ignore the Dominix (assuming you have the drone and hybrid skills).
The Domi has a 5% bonus to large hybrid damage per level too; it's one of the few ships whose skill bonuses are all offensive. Since Large NOS are much more imba, you don't get to see a lot of domis with large hybrids and the myrmidon's tank bonus can seem more handy. A brawler domi fitted with T2 large blasters is pretty fucking insane though.
