Best soloers:

As a fighter: shadowknight uncontested, below the sk also bruiser is good
As a healer: fury/inquisitor are the best (fury as caster, inq as battle cleric), shamans are the worse soloers
As a scout: brigand/swashbuckler, brig has an edge in soloing thanks to more stuns, swash does more ae damage, scouts in general do not rock at soloing

As a mage: conjurer/necro, wizard, illusionist/coercer, can't give you the precise order, enchanters are the slowest ("bring a book" fights) but can pull out some sick tricks, conj/necro are the easiest with necro being more versatile and conj more AE oriented, wizards are root/nuke types, boring but effective. This is in short. Most classes if not all, really become a LOT more powerful in the mid 50s (which you can reach pretty quickly) because of new spells, e.g.: conjurers get an AE dd+unbreakable snare, SKs get an AE lifetap, etc.

If you like to always find a group, pick a healer, can't go wrong, although furies and wardens are really popular (especially furies), but my fury friend gets groups in 5 mins flat anyway.
At high levels shamans and templars have higher desiderability due mainly to players preconception, all healers can pull their weight easily in groups if given a chance, rest is a matter of skills and gear.

Scouts are a lot, but groups always need them for dps. Honestly scouts are the most button spamming with the need for positional attacks and are among the worse soloers vs heroics.
Conj/necros are a lot as well, but they rock both soloing and grouping and are imo the least gear dependant, still need good spell quality tho.

Tanks are quite desiderable too, but are really gear dependant, if you like working on your gear all the time (and your spells/arts), shadowknights are sick soloing and damn fine group tanks, the higher you go in levels the more devastating you become. They can switch to offtank and even DPS role in raid.
Raid tanks are usually guardians, sometimes zerkers or paladins, SKs can raid tank too (if given the chance, which won't happen often), but they really perform better in other roles for raids.

Brawlers got the short end of the stick with EoF, they lost the little ability they had to tank when you approach the high end raids and gained nothing in return, they can put out decent dps and are still ok tanking heroic content.

Hope this helps.
