I've been doing most of the server and gameplay programming for this project so far and I'm looking for help.
I'd like to pickup 1-2 more programmers who are interested in helping me implement server and gameplay tasks. These tasks are not design tasks. You will probably not be implementing new items, spells, or mobs. You will be learning how the game functions, researching and modifying the current gameplay systems, and perhaps creating new systems and tools for content developers to use.
The language is 98% Python, which is extremely easy to pickup if you have prior programming experience. You should also have experience with object oriented topics and basic programming theory knowledge. Anyone with a BS in CS should be able to do this. You should also have experience debugging within an IDE, such as Visual Studio.
You must have completed the tutorial requirement listed
Here. I say this because by doing so you will learn Python (if you don't know it) and you will directly interface with some of the systems you may be modifying. Also, it allows you to create your own test environment so you can verify that your code works. I recommend you take the Eclipse route.
You must have access to IRC and be in our channel #uberworlds on irc.uberguilds.com
Finally, you must be willing to put dedicate time and effort into this project.
If you think this is something you want to do, I invite you to join us in irc and contact me (i'm brain) and/or pm me on the boards.
