| File Permission Woes! My company has this really awesome setup where accounting remotes into our terminal server and has a ton of reports they view frequently on it. Products of Deltek's Costpoint in case someone has experience with that. ANYWHO, we have permissions to these reports based on folders, but for some reason the files within the folders frequently have their permissions reset, so I find myself logging in to push down parent permissions of the folder into the child files inside.
The obvious solution is to stop using our freaking terminal server to host reports and start using a file server. We're supposedly working on that, but things move very slowly when it comes to decisions like that, and I don't even know if it'd solve the issue.
Anyone know what is causing this? I've been trying to narrow it down to if it's a Windows issue or a Costpoint issue but results seem random.
Thanks. |
