With respect to bosses. It should be pointed out -- again -- that there are difficult bosses throughout the game not just in the endgame. Temple of Dailuk (lvs 18-22ish) has a boss that spawns 6 adds that heal him if they touch him. He's an AES boss so you can't have another group helping you burn him down. There's a nasty level 11 boss that has a directional wide-area stun (grandmaster Ra'jin guy in Stronghold). Hrukstraz is a level 40 6dot that has a mountain of hp, mitigation and nasty cleave. He's not bad once you figure out the trick (all but tank stare at his ass) but still takes 20 minutes to burn down. The list goes on. Now there are of course some bosses that are cake and nothing more than giant versions of the normal mobs (hi2u Drillz).

woqqqa read teh post above yours. | Not to mention the miriad of 2-3 dot nameds that spawn in basically any PoI after you kill shit for a while. I have seen dozens of these named pop with unique good loot in the 20+ levels I played VG.
