Some people took extreme offense to this and reported me for blasphemy. There are those who wanted exactly what was written in the FAQ and that the ideas presented there should never be so much as questioned, let alone adapted or expanded upon. I was just trying to let people know that a game iterates and changes as development proceeds, and that many factors influence our decisions. You can never make everybody happy.
Couple things Nino.. Why have a FAQ if you know things are going to be in flux and what is represented by said FAQ are not meshing up with reality ? Why not limit the FAQ to rough system specs, and a general feel for the game? Once you go live, you can update the FAQ with what the game really is ? I know that FAQ, I spent alot of time reading it on the old Sigil forums, and on the new Sigil site when it went live, and I agree that the picture presented there was not what I encountered in the game once I entered beta. Not a big deal for me overall, I tend to like to judge things with my own eyes rather then through someone elses (as far as FAQ to real game experience goes anyway) but I can see where it would send people over the deep end.

And... You have said the "You can never make everybody happy" thing a few times recently if I recall, and I seem to remember Brad saying that recently as well. And while that is totally true (we say that where I work, but our version is more like "Well we ain't building a jewelry box, it ain't gotta be perfect", it feels to me where I work, and it feels to me coming from you guys as a sort of cop out, or perhaps "comfort talk".

Especially when you tie that in with the FAQ, and then further segue into managing peoples expectations, which is something Brad was GONZO BONKERS on way back when this all started. Something feels wrong with the whole "I am going to manage expectations because thats the most important thing" coupled with "The FAQ doesn't represent the game" married to "Well you can't make everybody happy".

Do you see what I mean ? There is no logic train there, it smells like confusion to me.
