This is my first post and im sure its about to get shot down in a barrage of flames, but i honestly would like to know what motivates you guys to still play.
NO... this isnt one of those "you fags suck EQ sucks you are all losers but im more of a loser coming to an EQ website taking out my rage in an act of desperation" .. i just honestly am wondering what keeps most of you that still play... playing.
I mean i didnt start EQ when it started and i have lvled two different characters high end.. but to me the game has just reached a point where the bait has gone ghetto. No im not a loot whore.. but when a cloak of flames dropped i didnt care who got it.. it was awesome.. that poor bastard was upgrading a cloak of the ice bear, or when i first got my gebs i was like "holy shit my mana bar just moved.. alot " Do you all get excited when you replace the god like item that has basically maxed out your stats.. with a slightly more god like item that still maxes out your stats?
Or when FOH.. or whoever finally beats the final boss in plane of time.. what else will there be to do? equip yourselves with more equipment to beat him easier? Again this isnt to insult anyone in anyway i honestly have respect for those who still put in the time to have fun with friends online i am just wondering if anyone just feels like there just isnt anything unique about the loot now. When someone was in bronze.. there were no fucking stats for christs sake.. but you were just like wow.. that guy is cool as shit. Or a Yak that was nuts just the name was unlike other weapons.. Now its just inspect and see " burning sword of ass rapage" or " ice wand of icanmeleeandimagoddamngnomeenchanter"
