| Not only is the dominix ugly, it looks like its going to STAY ugly in the new engine too. Whereas the Raven and Scorpion come out looking like they tripled the poly budgets on them.
But by then the domi will be at around 40 mill per BS... Alongside drone DPS, drone UTILITY (you can do all kinds of silly shit with drones, including heals, jamming, snaring) the dominix is the cheapest battleship on the market, coming in at around 55-60 million per ship. That's anywhere from a half down to a third of any other battleship's market price. Hell, it's only 15-20 million more than the newest battlecruisers.
The domi's low cost is a killer value-add to the ship. It's so cheap people rarely feel any hesitation to assume such a negligible risk. It's no surprise that most those high-profile high-sec freighter ganks (like that Trauma video) are dominix-heavy. |
