I had actually never read Watchmen until the other day, I read it because I saw the movie thread and figured what the hell, also picked up all the issues of 52 from DC but I really haven't had a chance to read those. Watchmen was amazing of course, I can't believe I never read it until now, I always knew Moore was good but he was really ahead of hsi time with that one.

I had a chance to read the Jim Shooter interview posted earlier. That's really enlightening. The only way I can see the industry fixing itself if having someone in charge of the major studios who is less concerned with quick profit and more concerned with producing quality product. I wonder, in that interview Shooter said that Marvel basically owed 220 million the vast majority of which was gone and would have to borrow even more money to float itself, eventually spiraling into bankrupcy. Did the Spiderman movie turn it around or something? Or are they still in the same predicament?

BTW I read somewhere that the Punisher will be the next Captain America. lawl at the death of the american dream.
