This may sound cliche, but I think a lot of it stems from jealousy. Jealous of the fact that FoH has been a prominent organization since the dawn of MMO's, and devs and industry leaders recognize that fact. Plus it is a great unofficial outlet for airing laundry and tackling issues that you don't want (or simply aren't addressed) on your official forums.
