| Pure melees don't need more on their armor :/ When you decided to roll a pure melee, you decided to follow a purely melee progression. A Rogue does more damage than a Paladin. A Warrior tanks better than a Shadow Knight. A Monk outdamages and out tanks a Ranger. You are lucky as a pure melee to be able to avoid having to balance the demands that hybrids have to balance.
Does a hyrbid getting the same amount of hit points and some mana affect you as a pure melee? Does that overpower them? Does that make them intrude upon your role as a pure melee?
If so, it needs to be addressed. I don't believe it is so.
Having to raise mana to be useful is a limitation of hybrid classes, not a benefit. Pure melees have enough on that armor as it is. The hybrids aren't going to edge you out of your role just because they got some more mana.
And who says all items need to benefit every class to the same level anyway? So far there's been lots of daggers in PoP, a few decent monk weapons, and at least one cool warrior sword. What do the hybrids get that comes close to those items? (besides 14,234 fucking bows) A Beastlord isn't gonna get the same use out of Battle Fists as a monk. Is that fair? No? It's called balance. |
