The same reason Bush cares that Saddam has nukes.
The same reason I look at the stock market to see how opposing shares are doing.
It's called community concern. I care about the other people in the world and what is going on because it may affect me in the future.
Same with Everquest. If one guild on a different server has just figured out how to do a CH chain (before anyone else did) then that is good information for several reasons.
a.) My guild can learn it and be better on my server
b.) other guilds can learn it and change the way the game is played
One persons actions on a different server might not end up meaning anything until they exploit named in BoT and then get them made harder until maybe they are so hard it takes 2 groups to kill them instead of 1.
