| Apple originally had a huge edge over PC for audio creation, post production, midi etc. Pro-Tools was in a completely different class from anything available for the PC. PC's had what...cakewalk? There was literally no comparison.
Today things are very different. Pro-Tools is still amazing and the choice of many studios, but there are now options for the PC that compete, and that's in the high end. For the project studio crowd, there are even more PC options that are a lot less expensive than similar MAC options. |
