Another thing, with procs, you could maintain reasonable DPS while using primal weapons, with a 6 second cast and fight longer than 3 ( is that length of avatar?) minutes will mean you take some DPS hits, nothing big, but would be better to use the proc from a sword because your DPS would be (i assume) higher
