Ok, that was tongue in cheek for the most part.
I would just as readily ask "Why the Nerd banner-waving" as I would ask "Why all the Nerd rage". Both are just the opposite extremes.
I don't hate VG, GL to it and all that. But to somehow expect VG to shake off all the bad press and rumors that it has built up over months and months, overnight, is hardly realistic. Maybe in 4-6 months post-release, I could see people seriously bitching about Nerd Rage (assuming VG turns into the game they claimed it would), but this close after release? GL trying to reconcile why there is Nerd Rage on Jan 31st though, if you still don't get it.
In a nutshell: people are being tards if they expect any measure of success with the release to counteract all the doubt and naysaying, especially this soon after release. Give shit time.
