Yes, you should see a difference in FPS. Just make sure you change the settings to 'Hardware' in the settings window. I play on a top of the line XPS M1710 and I had to get an external sound card to avoid the glitching and stuttering. There are still some optimizations we need to do to the sound streams though, so it will get better yet.
