Aside from the standard Marvel and DC fare I really enjoy Boneyard by Richard Moore. About a guy who inherits the family graveyard which happens to be home to vampires, monsters, and various sorts of undead riff raff. It's not a horror book but a humor one. It's published by NBM Publishing who does a lot adult comic stuff too if you're into that stuff. There are a few collected editions out there to get into which reproduce the book in full color instead of the B&W it's originals are published in. Having read the book in B&W I'm not sure I could get into a colored version. It'd be kind of weird. heh
Herobear and the Kid by Mike Kunkel is a great book too. About a boy and his stuffed polar bear who turns into a red cape wearing super bear. I really love the art and the story is very fun too.
Planetary is a bad ass book. I'm not a fan of everything Warren Ellis writes but every issue of Planetary has me eager for more. John Cassady handles the art chores. 'nuff said there. It can get confusing at times for sure. I've had to go back and catch up once or twice because it's so damn slow to publish but it's always worth the wait.
