| It's really hard to choose a good bass player and not be forced to look at the flash dexterous ones. I could name a few names, but you'd go wtf?
Is a good bass player one who can flash his finger's around a fretboard, one who plays appropriately and doesn't showboat, or one who uses the most creativity?
Flashiness gets you noticed, but I think, like the guitar player thread, get you too much attention. Just throwing your wang around without concern for the music (unless its speed metal, that's all bravado)
